Sky TV have unearthed a pundit of genuine class in Jamie Redknapp.
His analysis at The Emirates of Sunday during the Arsenal-Manchester United showdown was spot-on. He identified the strengths and weaknesses of both teams superbly and called it perfectly when he explained how United would exploit the Arsenal shortcomings.
All he has to do now is remember to shave and he will be the finished article.
Not quite sure what the shaving or lack thereof has to do with incisive comments before, during and after important games, but Steve’s certainly entitled to his opinion, whether we agree or not.
On a not entirely unrelated note, we rather enjoyed the following quote on the BBC quotes of the week from the Arsenal-Manchester United showdown, as given by one Jamie Redknapp:
“Between the posts - that’s where he’s gonna get his goals.”
Well, he’s not wrong, at least.
